Late fall produce

Although West Michigan has a much shorter growing season than many other parts of the country, our local farmers squeeze out every last ounce of sunlight and soil to produce beautiful crops even in late fall.  Things like rainbow chard, dinosaur kale and sweet peppers of all colors and sizes. Earthkeeper farm has been an amazing partner for Save the Season and this week we received these delicious veggies from them to freeze for our members.

Getting friendly with our new kitchen!

Finally made it into the incubator kitchen at the downtown market!! So excited to be sharing this space with some amazing Grand Rapids business'. Bloom Ferments, Cultured Love and Prospector's Coffee are just a few local start-ups producing their goodies in this beautiful masterpiece of a kitchen.  A huge thanks to Crystal LeCoy at the market for being a wonderful guide on this journey to what is hopefully the start of an awesome project!
